Glenlia Residents Community Association

The Glenlia Residents Community Association was original set up in April 2009 when a few residents got together with the council to see if there was need to establish the association.

The objective of the association is to safeguard and promote the interest of residents in the Glenlia area on matters concerning housing and the environment, to help improve living conditions, community facilities and services for residents living in the Glenlia area.

At present we are in consultation with the council over the Glenlia playpark and the green. We agreed that the playpark needs upgrading and the council will not fund this. So our biggest task is to raise enough funds to upgrade the park so the playpark is an enjoyable and fun park to play in and above all is safe.

We have already secured funding for a new fence to replace the old one at Glenlia and are moving forward to put this in action as use as possible.

We hope in raising funds we can organise events which are fun for everyone and help bring the community together.
